I’d never imagined starting a blog dedicated to single christian women desiring marriage, but lookie here, I just did it!
Where did it all start?
So, my thoughts. Initially I just wanted to express my feelings (oh & frustrations), share experiences, envision the future in an unfiltered and simple way. Then I thought about the potential for this, who could be reached, inspired, encouraged, uplifted – the list goes on. Yes, I am one of those people who looks for answers on Google, because let’s face it, when going through situations regarding desiring marriage, seeking God in prayer and worship is valuable, but, finding someone who can relate helps too. I could have just bought a journal dedicated to penning down my thoughts, but there’s something about knowing someone is listening and having it out in the open.
Finding a Platform…
Some months ago I started sharing about my single and christian journey elsewhere, but eventually realised it wasn’t the right platform (for me, personally). Many people may not have really understood why I had gone from talking about makeup and fashion to christian dating. Out of my mouth flowed the issues of my heart. Although those issues weren’t wrong, they just weren’t what I wanted my focus to be on for that platform.

Desiring Marriage will be a place where single christian women can relate to each other on similar issues. And hey, as much as I want to express my share about this journey of desiring marriage, I will also fully enjoy encouraging you to enjoy your single days – no matter how long they may be lasting, or if they are the only days you’ve ever had – like myself.
